Troy neighbors rally to assist family after fire destroys home

If awful situations bring out the best in people, than Troy is a perfect example. Last month, the Beyer family lost their home in rural Troy to a fire. Now, neighbors, friends and other community members are working to help the family rebuild.

More coyotes sighted 
State and local wildlife officials have been fielding a lot of telephone calls recently because out in the field the main urban predator, the coyote, has been out and about a lot. This is the end of the coyote breeding season and the animals are more likely to be out during the daylight hours. Recent sightings have been reported in Lake Forest, Long Grove, Libertyville and Waukegan.

Area Roundup 
MUNCIE — The Unconditional Love Foundation will conduct a special adoption event today from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Muncie PetSmart, 3450 N. Morrison Road.
